I am the Reverend David Shokes, and I've lived in St. Augustine and have been officiating weddings here for many years.
I look forward to the opportunity of assisting you in making your day a very special one. The ceremony that I use is a very beautiful one and takes about twenty minutes. It can be modified to suit your needs if you wish. It has been well received by hundreds of brides and grooms in the past. We can serve you as a Minister or a Notary and offer you a Spiritual or a Civil ceremony.
We can assist you with the names and numbers of Photographers, Beauty Salons, Flowers, Harpist, Motels, Bed and Breakfasts, etc., and we will be happy to do so. We do not do the actual planning; however, we can direct the wedding along with you or your assistant.
There are many beautiful places to have weddings here in the greater St. Augustine and I will be happy to make suggestions as to where to perform the ceremony. Remember, I come to you; whether at your hotel, the beach, your Bed & Breakfast, Condo, yacht or wherever. Please feel free to call and discuss your plans with me.
My honorarium for officiating a wedding is normally $100.00 to $175.00, depending on location. Florida Law does require a marriage license, which can be obtained at the County Clerk’s office in St. Johns County. The marriage license cost is $93.00.
